Mic Drop Comedy San Diego

Mic Drop Comedy San Diego is a comedy club in Kearny Mesa, opened in 2022 by longtime friends Hillary Hutson and Casey Currier in the room that housed the Comedy Palace for 25 years — tributes to that history are worked into the decor throughout. Two stages share one calendar: the hand-painted, floor-to-ceiling-purple Main Showroom, which books national headliners like Taylor Tomlinson, Aries Spears, Earthquake, Chris Kattan and Jess Hilarious, and the 50-seat Gold Room, an intimate setting for local showcases, brunch shows and the club's six-week stand-up classes. There's a chef-driven kitchen and full bar, a patio, free on-site parking, and — unusually for a comedy club — no drink or item minimum. All shows are 21+.
