Privacy Policy

Last updated May 25, 2026

This policy explains what information Revel (“we”, “us”) collects, why, and what choices you have. Revel is a comedy event discovery service for Los Angeles operated by an individual founder. If you have questions, email aymather@gmail.com.

Information we collect

  • Account information (Google Sign-In). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google password. We use this to create and authenticate your account and to save the shows and comedians you follow.
  • Contact form submissions. When you use our contact form, we store the message you send and any optional email address or phone number you provide, so we can read and respond. We also log the IP address and browser user-agent of the request to prevent spam and abuse.
  • Usage analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, approximate location, device type). It is privacy-focused and does not use cross-site tracking cookies or build advertising profiles of you.

How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the service.
  • To authenticate you and remember what you follow.
  • To respond to messages you send us.
  • To protect Revel against spam, abuse, and fraud.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run Revel on our behalf — currently Google (sign-in), our hosting and database providers, and Vercel (hosting and analytics) — and when required by law. Event pages link out to venues and third-party ticketing platforms; once you click through, those sites’ own privacy policies apply.

Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices and rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information — including deleting your account and the data associated with it — by emailing aymather@gmail.com. You can also revoke Revel’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

Data retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active, and contact submissions for as long as needed to respond and keep records. We delete data on request as described above.

Children’s privacy

Revel is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above.
