The Schrott Center for the Arts is a 475-seat theater on Butler University's campus in Indianapolis, opened in 2013 as part of the Butler Arts & Events Center alongside Clowes Memorial Hall. It is the operator's mid-size room, where national touring acts play between Butler's own School of Music and Butler Theatre productions, the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra's subscription series and the finals of the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis. Touring standup is a regular part of the slate — Gary Gulman, Michael Kosta and Geoffrey Asmus are all on the current calendar. Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster and the Butler Arts box offices, all of which are cashless; the venue box office opens two hours before each ticketed event, and every patron, children included, needs a ticket.
