Clowes Memorial Hall

Clowes Memorial Hall is the anchor venue of the Butler Arts & Events Center, on Butler University's campus just north of downtown Indianapolis. Opened in 1963 and seating 2,148, it is Indiana's flagship touring house: one large proscenium room that carries national standup tours alongside Broadway engagements, ballet, orchestras and lectures. The comedy slate runs to marquee headliners — Nikki Glaser, Anthony Jeselnik, Ali Siddiq, DL Hughley, Derrick Stroup and Nateland Live are all on the current calendar — and the hall's history ranges from Bert Kreischer and Mystery Science Theater 3000 Live to Elton John, John Prine, Itzhak Perlman and Maya Angelou. Full bars and concessions (card only) are open at most performances, doors are typically 90 minutes before curtain, and every patron needs a ticket regardless of age.
