One Night Stan's Comedy Club

One Night Stan's is a 300-seat comedy club in Waterford, Michigan, built from the ground up for stand-up. Owner Stan Moore — a lifelong Oakland County resident who spent over 50 years running a plumbing company — opened the room in 2018 with veteran Detroit comic Mike Green, borrowing what they liked from clubs around the country: a 14,000-square-foot building with low enough ceilings to keep you in the action, no obstructed views, two full-service bars, a lounge, table service in the showroom, and free lit parking onsite. There is no drink minimum. Headliners play Thursday-through-Saturday runs, with a weekly open mic and the occasional dueling-piano night, drag game show, roast or comedy contest mixed in, and a signature wall collecting the comics who have passed through.
