Portland's grand civic stage: a 2,992-seat auditorium at 222 SW Clay Street downtown, and the largest of the five rooms run by Portland'5 Centers for the Arts. First opened in 1917 as the Portland Public Auditorium and reborn as the Civic Auditorium in 1968, the Keller is where the city's biggest productions land — the Broadway in Portland season (The Outsiders, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Hadestown, Clue), Oregon Ballet Theatre's Nutcracker and Swan Lake, Portland Opera — alongside the touring comedy and music that needs a room this size: Brett Goldstein, Penn & Teller, Franco Escamilla, Beck and Dwight Yoakam all play it this season. Reserved seating, all ages unless an individual event says otherwise, and tickets through the Portland'5 box office, whose posted prices include all fees.
