The “Schnitz” — a 2,776-seat Italian Rococo Revival hall at 1037 SW Broadway and the most elegant stage in Portland, run by Portland'5 Centers for the Arts. Built as a vaudeville house turned grand movie palace, spectacularly restored in the 1980s and acoustically overhauled in 2021, it is home to the Oregon Symphony and the Portland Youth Philharmonic and the room most touring standup headliners play in this market: Laura Ramoso, DL Hughley & Don Lemon, Brad Williams, Jeff Arcuri and Bianca Del Rio are all on the current calendar, between Portland Arts & Lectures, the Hatfield Lecture series, film-in-concert nights and visiting dance. Reserved seating, all ages unless an individual event says otherwise, and tickets through the Portland'5 box office, whose posted prices include all fees.
