Vulcan Gas Company is a 9,500-square-foot live-music room on East 6th Street in downtown Austin, built around a Funktion-One sound system, a 12x18 stage, projection mapping and a terrace overlooking the street. It runs standing-room by default (658 standing, 350 when a show is seated) and splits its calendar between DJ and touring music bookings and a growing comedy programme: a weekly Tuesday showcase from the Kill Tony regulars, plus multi-night stand-up headliner runs.
