Bass Concert Hall

Bass Concert Hall is the flagship theatre of Texas Performing Arts on the University of Texas at Austin campus, and at roughly 3,000 seats the largest theatre in the city. Opened in 1981 and renovated in 2007, 2012 and 2021, the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Concert Hall pairs a vast stage and adjustable orchestra pit with the production facilities and backstage shops needed for the biggest touring shows that reach Austin. Its season runs the Broadway in Austin subscription series (Phantom of the Opera, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Mrs. Doubtfire, The Book of Mormon) alongside concerts, dance, live-to-film events and family programming, plus a steady trickle of marquee standup and comedy touring dates such as Ali Wong, Nurse John and The Basement Yard.
