Fallout Theater

Fallout Theater is downtown Austin's BYOB underground comedy theater, tucked into a basement room at 616 Lavaca Street with shows seven nights a week. Billing itself as "Austin's underground comedy," the roughly 70-seat room is home to all kinds of comedy — long-form and alt improv, sketch, variety and stand-up — with house shows like Fuck This Week, Comedy Fusion, Garage, TIGERS and the Bomb Shelter open mic sharing the stage with touring acts and one-off specials. Fallout also runs Austin's School of Comedy, teaching improv and sketch classes and corporate workshops out of the same building, so the lineups skew toward the local performers who came up through it. The venue is BYOB (21+ to drink, valid ID required), the lobby lounge opens before shows, and there is no drink minimum.
