Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races is a racetrack-and-casino resort in Charles Town, West Virginia, roughly an hour west of Washington, D.C. Its showroom, The Event Center, holds up to 1,500 guests and is outfitted with state-of-the-art sound, lighting and video. The room books a steady run of touring headliners - standup comics such as Tom Segura, Leslie Jones, Brad Williams, Kathleen Madigan, Gary Owen and Rodney Carrington alongside country, rock and R&B acts. Shows require a ticket, sold through Ticketmaster, the PENN Play Center or the box office (which opens at 4:00 PM on show days), and because the room sits inside the casino every attendee must be 21 or over - no minors, even with a guardian. A limited number of ADA-accessible seats is available, and parking in the East and West garages is free.
