The DC Improv is Washington, D.C.'s premier comedy club, open since 1992 in the heart of downtown on Connecticut Avenue. Its intimate ~250-seat main showroom — whose very first show featured Ellen DeGeneres, Dave Chappelle and Brian Regan — has hosted the biggest names in stand-up, from Jim Gaffigan, Lewis Black and Sheryl Underwood to Kevin Hart and Margaret Cho, and dozens of comedians have recorded albums on its stage. A separate ~60-seat comedy lounge (added in 2006) showcases up-and-coming acts, and the club's comedy school offers stand-up and improv classes. Two-item minimum in the showroom.
No past shows in our records yet.
