Opened in 1912 as the Victoria Theater, The Vic began as a vaudeville and touring stage house and has proven one of the most adaptable and resilient theaters in Chicago — a stable anchor of the Lakeview neighborhood for over a century. Now operated by Jam Productions, the 1,400-capacity theater at Sheffield and Belmont mixes touring bands with stand-up comedians and podcast tours, with general admission floor and theater-style loge and balcony seating, steps from the Belmont Red/Brown/Purple Line stop.
