Founded in 1981 as ImprovOlympic by Charna Halpern and the legendary Del Close, iO Theater pioneered The Harold and has trained generations of America's greatest comedic talent — alumni include Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Stephen Colbert, and Chris Farley. Its four-stage complex at 1501 N Kingsbury St hosts improv, sketch, and standup most nights of the week, with a full bar and kitchen open on show nights. All ages welcome.
