Talking Stick Resort is a 15-story casino resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, owned and operated by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, and its entertainment calendar is built largely on touring standup. Shows run in three rooms on the property: the Salt River Grand Ballroom, the resort's premier concert hall, which seats up to 1,600 and has hosted Dwight Yoakam, Brian Wilson, Smokey Robinson, Huey Lewis and the News and Cheap Trick; the 650-seat Showroom, an intimate room that leans on comedy and regional headliners; and The Pool, an outdoor stage set beside the main pool for warm-weather concerts. Recent and upcoming comedy bills include Ron White, Jay Leno, Kathleen Madigan, Steve Trevino, Becky Robinson, Marc Yaffee, Larry Omaha, James & Ernie and Isaac Tonasket. Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster, or fee-free through the resort box office at 480.850.7734. Entry to concerts and events is 21 and over.
