Scotiabank Arena is Canada's premier sports and entertainment venue, sitting at 40 Bay Street on Toronto's downtown waterfront next to Union Station. It opened in February 1999 as the Air Canada Centre, was renamed Scotiabank Arena in 2018, and is owned and operated by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment as the home of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and the NBA's Toronto Raptors. The 665,000-square-foot building seats about 19,800 for basketball and full-house concerts, 18,800 for hockey, and roughly 5,200 in its theatre configuration, and has hosted more than 2,600 events including the 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend and the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.
