A basement speakeasy hidden behind the rear entrance of 474 Queen Street West, Catacombs Cabaret is Toronto's most deliberately strange comedy room — a dark, low-ceilinged space of about 70 seats done up in full crypt-and-candlelight theatrics. The room books touring headliners into two-show Friday and Saturday runs alongside late-night and specialty programming, with recent and upcoming sets from Ahmed Ahmed, Tristan Bowling, Tim Butterly, Kim Congdon, Punkie Johnson and Anthony Fuentes. Shows are 19+ and seating is limited, so tickets tend to go in advance.
