The Pantages Theatre is a 1,014-seat historic house at 710 Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis, the smallest of the theatres owned and programmed by Hennepin Arts in the Hennepin Theatre District. It opened in 1916 as a vaudeville house in Greek immigrant impresario Alexander Pantages' circuit, designed by the Minneapolis firm of Kees and Colburn in an Art Moderne/Beaux Arts style, and has been restored for modern audiences. It is where most of the Twin Cities' touring standup lands: the current calendar carries Marc Maron, Vir Das, Bassem Youssef, Christopher Titus, Laura Ramoso, Derrick Stroup, Lucas Zelnick, Ari Matti Mustonen and Chris Fleming, alongside concerts, dance, podcast tapings and holiday shows. Ticketmaster is the only authorized ticketing agent; tickets are also sold in person at the State Theatre box office, 805 Hennepin Avenue.
