DeVos Performance Hall is Grand Rapids' main downtown theatre - a 2,543-seat performing arts house tucked inside the DeVos Place convention center on Monroe Avenue NW, and the home stage of the city's four resident arts organizations: the Grand Rapids Symphony, Grand Rapids Ballet, Broadway Grand Rapids and Opera Grand Rapids. Around those subscription seasons the hall books touring concerts, family shows and standup, and it has hosted Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, Brian Regan and Aziz Ansari alongside B.B. King, James Taylor, Harry Connick Jr., Aretha Franklin and Alice Cooper. The room stays surprisingly intimate for its size; its lobby carries a terrazzo floor, renovated restrooms and accent lighting, and tickets for the calendar sell through Ticketmaster or in person at the DeVos Place Grand Gallery box office.
