The Lyric Hyperion is Silver Lake's historic home for independent comedy, music, and live performance — an intimate 85-seat stage with an adjoining café and front patio at 2106 Hyperion Avenue. The building has hosted artists for decades, including a 17-year run as the home of Company of Angels, the repertory troupe co-founded by Leonard Nimoy and Richard Chamberlain, before becoming the Lyric. Today it runs shows seven nights a week — stand-up, character comedy, open mics, drag, music sessions, and variety — championing emerging and independent voices in an anti-corporate, neighborhood-friendly room.
