Peoria's home for stand-up comedy since 1990, the Juke Box Comedy Club runs a 200-seat showroom on West Farmington Road where the 40 seats closest to the stage are sold as VIP. A weekly open mic — free to perform, $5 at the door to watch — anchors the calendar alongside weekend headliner runs from touring and regional comics such as Nate Craig, Joe Kilgallon, Jacob Barr, T.J. Wharry and Stormy Daniels, plus the club's long-running amateur tournament, now in its 25th year. Doors open an hour before showtime, seating is pre-assigned, dress is casual, and parking is free in front of and beside the building. Butch's pizza, garlic cheese bread, popcorn, chips, shakes and floats are served throughout the show.
