DPAC — the Durham Performing Arts Center — is a 2,700-seat theater in downtown Durham, North Carolina, opened in 2008 beside the American Tobacco Campus and operated by Nederlander and Professional Facilities Management under a long-term agreement with the City of Durham. It is one of the busiest rooms in the Southeast, hosting up to 600,000 guests a year across 250-plus performances, and has been ranked among the top ten theaters and performing arts centers in the U.S. every year since 2010, winning IEBA's Theater of the Year award. The book is anchored by the Broadway at DPAC subscription season — Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera, Hadestown, Mamma Mia!, Waitress, Operation Mincemeat, Maybe Happy Ending — alongside concerts, family shows, a Cirque du Soleil holiday residency, and a steady run of touring standup: Fortune Feimster, Adrián Uribe, Jay Leno, Ali Wong, Jeff Dunham, Iliza Shlesinger and Jeff Arcuri are all on the current calendar. Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Ticket Center at DPAC, with prices advertised all-in (fees included, before tax).
