Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland

Arvest Bank Theatre at the Midland — known around Kansas City as simply The Midland — is a 1927 movie palace on Main Street in the downtown Power & Light District, operated by AEG Presents. The room is famous for its half-million feet of gold leaf, five hand-cut Czechoslovakian crystal chandeliers and ornate plaster and woodwork, and its seating flexes from an intimate 1,300 to roughly 3,000 for a packed house. The calendar runs the full range — rock, hip hop, country, touring theatrical shows, live podcast tapings — with a steady run of national standup alongside it: Gary Owen, Ari Matti, Iliza Shlesinger, Jeff Arcuri and Jo Koy are all on the books. Tickets are sold through AXS, the TEN27 Bar off the lobby opens before shows, and the box office and bars are cashless.
