The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater is a 2,700-capacity Live Nation theatre at 1700 Washington Avenue, in the heart of Miami Beach's Art Deco district. Opened in 1950 as the Miami Beach Municipal Auditorium and later known nationwide as the home of television's Jackie Gleason Show, the room was restored and reopened as The Fillmore Miami Beach in 2007 and now runs a year-round calendar of touring concerts, comedy, dance and theatre. Upcoming and recent bills range from Jack White, Death Cab for Cutie and The Psychedelic Furs to Spanish-language standup headliners including Franco Escamilla, Adrian Uribe and Nacho Redondo. The building also holds two smaller spaces, the Stardust Club and the Rehearsal Hall. The venue is accessible, with elevators, escalators and ramps on most levels; valet parking runs off Washington Avenue for most main-stage shows.
