Comic Strip Live is the longest-running showcase comedy club in the world, open on Manhattan's Upper East Side since May 1975. Founded by Richard Tienken, John McGowan, and Robert Wachs, its intimate showroom launched the careers of Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, and Jerry Seinfeld, and New York Magazine has called it "the most expertly booked club in the city." Seven nights a week it books established headliners alongside the city's best up-and-coming stand-ups, with a full bar and a light menu.
