Sticks and Stones Comedy Club is the Hamptons' year-round comedy club, housed in the MainStage Room at the Southampton Cultural Center at 25 Pond Lane in Southampton, NY. It was started by the team behind the HBO-sponsored Hamptons Comedy Festival and the Hamptons Comedy Film Festival, and books national headliners and cutting-edge new talent on a weekly Saturday-night bill, alongside graduation shows from its own Laughing Academy classes. The room revives an East End comedy tradition that goes back to the 1980s East End Comedy Club, where a teenage Judd Apatow watched sets while his mother worked there. Doors open an hour before showtime for drinks, small bites from local Southampton restaurants and the center's art gallery; seating runs General Admission, Reserved, and VIP tables closest to the stage. Recent bills have featured Sherrod Small, Olga Namer, Irene Bremis, Steve Rocco and Pete Cestaro.
