Providence Comedy Underground is a standup comedy room in downtown Providence, Rhode Island, running ticketed shows every Friday and Saturday night at The Hide — the speakeasy tucked beneath The George restaurant at 121 Washington Street. Founded in 2019 by comedian and history professor Jeremy Pearson and formerly known as Glue Factory Comedy, PCU books touring headliners alongside the best comics in New England, including performers who have appeared on Comedy Central and late night television. Seating starts at 7pm and the show goes up at 8pm, in a low-lit room with exposed brick, a full cocktail bar and a bar food menu, with free valet parking upstairs at The George and complimentary live music after the show for ticket holders. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. There is no age restriction, though the material is aimed at adults.
