Denver's home of live entertainment since 1930, the Paramount Theatre is a 1,865-seat Art Deco landmark at 1621 Glenarm Place in downtown Denver. Designed by architect Temple Buell for Publix Theatres and opened on August 29, 1930, it has been extensively restored while keeping its Zig Zag Art Deco interior, Vincent Mondo silk murals and a one-of-a-kind twin-console Wurlitzer organ, one of only two left in the United States. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and named a Denver historic landmark in 1988, the theatre now hosts more than 100 performances a year across live music, comedy, kids' theatre and film, and is one of the city's main stops for touring standup: upcoming headliners include Nikki Glaser, Chelsea Handler, George Lopez, Brian Regan, Iliza Shlesinger, Fortune Feimster, Leslie Jones, Maria Bamford and Franco Escamilla. Reserved seating on the main level, mezzanine and balcony, with accessible seating on the main level; tickets through Ticketmaster.
