Ovens Auditorium

Ovens Auditorium is Charlotte's original major civic auditorium — a 2,447-seat theater on East Independence Boulevard that opened in 1955 and shares the Bojangles Entertainment Complex with Bojangles Coliseum. More than 7,000 events have played its 4,750-square-foot stage, and the booking runs from Broadway tours and touring concerts to nationally headlining stand-up: Martin Lawrence, Jo Koy, Taylor Tomlinson, Kathleen Madigan, Brad Williams, Gary Owen, D.L. Hughley and Adrián Uribe are all on the current calendar. Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster and the complex box office.
