Laughs Unlimited Comedy Club

Established in 1980 in Old Sacramento, Laughs Unlimited is one of the longest-running comedy clubs in the country and the capital's dedicated home for stand-up. The 177-seat showroom at 1207 Front Street runs shows Wednesday through Saturday, with late shows on Friday and Saturday nights, plus a Pro-Am Showcase on the first and third Tuesday of each month. The club's "Wall of Shame" is covered with headshots from comics who worked the room on the way up — Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, Dana Carvey, Bob Saget, Dennis Miller, George Wallace and Paul Reiser among them — and regulars like Tony Baker, Mike E. Winfield, Tahir Moore and Bert Kreischer still call this stage their Sacramento home. Seating is general admission, there is a two-item minimum per person in the showroom, and the attached bar and lounge seats another 60.
