The Kia Forum is an Inglewood landmark and the only arena-sized venue in the United States dedicated exclusively to music and entertainment. Opened in 1967 — the brainchild of architect Charles Luckman and then-Kings owner Jack Kent Cooke — it welcomed its first act, Aretha Franklin, in January 1968 and has been a premier live destination ever since. A major renovation restored the room with enhanced acoustics and expanded general-admission seating ahead of its January 2014 grand reopening. Named Pollstar's Arena of the Decade for the 2010s, the Forum consistently ranks among the top arenas in the U.S. and worldwide.
