A North Hollywood institution since 1988, the HaHa Comedy Club began life as a Mexican restaurant whose owners were happy to pass the mic to up-and-coming comics who could not get stage time elsewhere — and it has been a launching pad for comedians ever since. Today the NoHo Arts District club runs shows Wednesday through Sunday, from weekly open mics and bringer shows to headliner nights that draw names like Russell Peters, with a full food and cocktail menu.
