Comedy in the Cellar

Comedy in the Cellar is downtown Fargo's underground comedy club — a roughly 90-seat basement showroom below Front Street Taproom at 614 Main Avenue, with its own bar, its own entrance off the taproom and a P/A of its own. Weekend runs pair a touring headliner with a feature and a local host, usually Friday and Saturday, and the room has stayed booked continuously through the year: bills have included Marcella Arguello, Steve Gillespie, Usama Siddiquee, Geoffrey Asmus & Tommy Brennan, Carmen Lagala, Cipha Sounds, Kristen Toomey and Logan Guntzelman, alongside local showcases. A free open mic runs every Wednesday night, hosted by Marquay Belcher, with sign-up at 7:30 and up to 20 comics on the list. Seating is all general admission and the room is 21+; table talk and phone use are both off-limits once the show starts. Upstairs the taproom pours a rotating craft list, and Rhombus Guys delivers free to the bar before and after the show.
