Comedy in Harlem is Harlem's home for stand-up — an intimate room on St. Nicholas Avenue in the historic Sugar Hill neighborhood, seating roughly 60 at tables with a full dinner and cocktail menu. The club opened in October 2021 as New York City's only Black-owned comedy club and has been featured on CBS 2 New York and Fox 5's Good Day New York, and recognized by the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce. It runs comedy most nights of the week: Friday Night Laughs and Saturday Night Laughs, Sugar Shack Sundays hosted by Rob Stapleton, Funny Thursdays, Sunday Night Live, the Paid By The Bell comics' competition and the Funny Lines open mic, alongside headlining sets from comics like Mike Yard, Damien Lemon, Leonard Ouzts, Rudy Rush, Smokey Suarez and Akeem Woods. Shows are 21 and over with an $18 food-and-beverage minimum per person.
