Jeff Danson, aka the notorious Heavvy, is a Canadian-Jewish stand-up comedian, producer, writer, actor, and food fanatic based in Los Angeles, California, and New York City. After breaking into the comedy scene in 2010, Heavvy first gained traction for his witty joke-writing skills as the main contributor to the Iron Sheik's viral Twitter account. At the time of Heavvy's contributions, it was rated the top funniest Twitter account by "GQ," "FHM," and "Sports Illustrated."Heavvy continued his writing by starring in self-produced food travel shows, two of which received orders from Viacom MTV, leading him to leave his hometown of Toronto for the US. Heavvy then became friends, toured, and worked closely for years with the biggest names in the business, performing on cross-country tours and leading up to notable accomplishments like hosting Pete Davidson's first-ever special for Comedy Central, "SMD."Heavvy proceeded to focus on his touring and self-produced stand-up shows, entitled "Heavvy Sets." Over a 10-year period, "Heavvy Sets" has solidified sold-out residencies in LA, NYC, and TO, with further plans of expansion into the content space.
