Tam White

Tam White is a Detroit-based stand-up comedian and improviser known for her dynamic presence across the Midwest comedy scene. She is a resident cast member at Go Comedy! Improv Theatre, a graduate of the Second City Conservatory Program and has performed with the MainStage cast of ComedySportz Detroit. Her stand-up credits include appearances at the Royal Oak Music Theatre, The Comedy Store in Hollywood, and the Majestic Theatre, as well as festival performances at LaughFest, the Break Out Comedy Festival, and the Chicago Women’s Funny Fest. Tam has also shared the stage with notable comedians including Tim Meadows, Jay Pharoah, Ms. Pat, Pauly Shore, and Chris Kattan. Beyond performing, Tam is a creator and producer deeply embedded in Detroit’s comedy scene. She produces and hosts the improv game shows Hip-Prov and Soul Prov, and during the pandemic served as a board member for the Detroit Women of Comedy Festival. Her contributions to the local scene have earned recognition from Hour Detroit Magazine, where she was named a favorite local comic. Tam also teaches corporate improv training and leads specialized workshops like Rhyming in Improv, while producing fundraisers that benefit the Detroit Creativity Project. Tam’s comedic style blends quick improvisational instincts with confident storytelling, often weaving rhythm, wordplay, and audience interaction into her sets.
