Jason Jamerson

Jason Jamerson is an award-winning Detroit comedian, actor, writer, host and producer known for high-energy, clean stand-up combining sharp observations, storytelling and an unmistakable Detroit point of view. Named Best Comedian in Detroit by Metro Times in 2020 and winner of the 2018 Cleveland Comedy Open, Jason has become a standout in the Michigan comedy scene while performing for audiences across the country. Since beginning stand-up in 2013, Jason has headlined clubs including Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase and Detroit House of Comedy and was selected for the 2026 Traverse City Comedy Fest. He has shared the stage with comedians including Chris Redd, Finesse Mitchell, Michael Rapaport, Tony Baker, Mark Curry, Tony Roberts, Brandon T. Jackson and Carl Payne. In 2016, Jason created This Should Be a Comedy Special, which grew into an annual Metro Detroit comedy tradition. He has also been featured in WDET's "What's So Funny About Detroit?" Comedy Showcase.
