Kyle Grooms is a nationally recognized stand-up comedian, actor, and writer whose career has taken him from the South Florida comedy scene to some of the biggest stages and television programs in the country. A New Jersey native, Grooms began his comedy career in South Florida while working as an Art Director for a Spanish-language television network. After honing his craft in Miami, he left television to pursue comedy full-time and quickly became a fixture on the New York comedy scene, performing at legendary clubs including Caroline's, The Comic Strip, Comedy Cellar, and Gotham Comedy Club . He has also taken his comedy around the world, performing for audiences in the United States, Canada, Europe, and beyond. Grooms has an extensive television résumé, including his own half-hour special on Comedy Central Presents , as well as appearances on Chappelle's Show, Def Comedy Jam, BET's ComicView, Jamie Foxx Presents Laffapalooza, P-Diddy's Bad Boys of Comedy, Showtime at the Apollo, Last Comic Standing, Comics Unleashed, Gotham Comedy Live, Inside Amy Schumer, Red Eye, The Apprentice, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, VH1 , and numerous other television and comedy programs. His acting credits include I Feel Pretty , starring Amy Schumer, as well as appearances on Inside Amy Schumer, Chappelle's Show, Comics Unleashed, Finding My Obama, The Green Team, Rise of the Radio Show , and other film and television projects. As a writer, Grooms has contributed to projects including Last Comic Standing, Def Comedy Jam, BET's ComicView, Comedy Central Presents, Laffapalooza, The Bad Boys of Comedy, Weather Gone Viral , and other television productions. Grooms is also an accomplished comedy recording artist. His debut comedy album, The Legend of the Jersey Devil , was named one of iTunes' Top 100 Comedy Albums of 2009 . In 2020, following a serious medical emergency and emergency brain surgery, Grooms turned his experience into comedy with Kyle Grooms: Brain Humor , a stand-up special that has become one of his most personal and memorable projects. His career has also included national advertising campaigns for brands including T-Mobile, Sears, CareerBuilder, and Holiday Inn Express . Known for his quick wit, intelligent observations, storytelling, and unique perspective on growing up in America's melting pot, Kyle Grooms brings a comedy style that is honest, energetic, personal, and accessible to a wide range of audiences.
