Brady Matthews in the Red Room

Brady Matthews is a touring stand-up comedian, actor, and visual artist currently based in Dallas, Texas. Born in Boston and raised in Chicago, Brady got his start in comedy after winning the Uncle Clyde’s Comedy Competition at the Ice House in 2007, which set him on the path to becoming the standup comedian he is today. He has a lot of acting credits and has recently been seen on Taylor Sheridan’s: Dutton Ranch. He’s a paid regular at the legendary Comedy Store in Los Angeles, with his name on the club’s famous wall, and has performed on the sold-out Bad Friends Tour with Andrew Santino and Bobby Lee, headlined Skankfest, co-headlined with Trevor Wallace and Annie Lederman at Life is Beautiful, and shared the stage with Demetri Martin at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas. His comedy has earned fans among fellow comics and public figures including Theo Von, Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Featuring the evening is Corey Cherry who is a fast rising comedian in the DFW area. With his quick witted observations and inviting delivery, he has a way of captivating any audience he encounters. He has opened for comedians such as Lil JJ, Lav Luv, lil rel ,tony rock and Blaq Ron, and has his own mini special on youtube entitled “Coach Box”and just released his second special entitled “30for30” on the newest platform called VantaBlackTV. Corey is deemed one of the best off the cuff comics in the area and is just getting started. Opening act is local up and coming comedian Shawn Brooks. Hosting the evening is Swayde McCoy. Swayde is a Dallas-based stand-up comedian and actor, best known locally as co-creator of the Please Like This comedy showcase alongside ShawnBrooks, which has run at venues including Hyenas Dallas, Hyenas Red Room in Fort Worth, Addison Improv, and Big Laugh Comedy. Beyond hosting and producing showcases, Swayde has built stage credibility on bigger platforms — he was selected in the Bucket Pull for Kill Tony episode #770. He also has a growing acting resume, appearing in the horror film The Texas Witch (2025) as Detective Womak, along with earlier roles in COVID-19: Invasion (2021) and The Great and Terrible Day of the Lord (2020).
