Part karaoke, part confessional. STORY-OKE invites performers and audience members alike to share a true story about their connection to a song - or the song itself - then sing the hell out of it. Every song has a story. For our next show, we'll have stories about near-death experiences, getting crushed by Fred Durst and a torrid relationship with a Florida coke dealer and more... from performers, improvisors, clowns, comedians and a Moth StorySLAM winner! Plus, whatever you, our audience, want to bring to the stage (now for fabulous prizes!) ABOUT THE PERFORMERS: JOSH NASSER (he/him) is an NYC-based actor and stand-up comedian. He has been featured on Comedy Central’s YouTube Channel and is a recurring improviser on the Nebula Original, Abolish Everything!. Vulture and onmogul.com have both named Josh as one of the best up and coming comedians in NYC. Josh previously hosted the NYTimes recommended comedy show, Oh, Such a Huge Show, Oh at the Bell House, currently hosts the Jezebel recommended comedy show, The Trash King and is a regular performer on Harold Night at The Upright Citizens Brigade in New York. He has also written episodes for the Story Pirates Podcast, which adapts children's stories into musical comedy sketches. You can find his previous work at joshnasser.com. And of course his favorite food is plain cheese pizza. He knows that’s a boring choice and he will work on it. PARIS ADKINS is the host of The Assignment, a monthly experimental improv show at UCB, and Old Souls, a stand-up show at Sleepwalk. They can be seen around town with their queer improv team, Dangerous Marine Life, or making video sketches with Rare Crop Productions. In their free time, they're usually playing D&D, talking about D&D, or thinking about D&D. KALI DOYLE is a writer, performer, and comedian in New York City who is just waiting for you to ask her about horror movies. She is the head writer for Armory Comedy's sketch team Face Tape, performs stand-up, and sings at whichever piano bar will let her. Previously, she was on both house sketch and improv teams at Second City LA, and recapped the cursed Bachelor franchise on YouTube. Her one-woman show Hot Boys will make its Caveat debut on August 6, 2026! MICHAEL MCFADDEN is a storyteller, clown, and improv aficionado. He is a winner of a Moth StorySLAM and, behind the scenes, works professionally as a Production Sound Mixer for film and television, while also having assisted in virtually every other production department over the years. In his downtime, he gives workshops and mentors aspiring filmmakers through script readings and film contests. He enjoys horror trivia, laser tag, traveling, and his cat. SHYAPORN THEERAKULSTIT is an actor, writer, fake scientist, cosplayer, lapsed YouTuber and general “nerd about town.” He has appeared at Caveat with his presentations, "Godzilla: History, Biology and Behavior of Hyper-Evolved Theropod Kaiju" and “How to Become the Batman,” as well as the slide improv show Peer Revue and The Earth is Flat, a conspiracy comedy show. He has lectured at Nerd Nite, TEDx and the Smithsonian, produced and written for Dark Horse Comics, and could last be seen off-Broadway playing Admiral Kirk in “Khan!!! The Musical!” as well as such shows as The Flight Attendant and Girls5eva. He is in the Oscar-nominated feature film, "Song Sung Blue," singing alongside Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson. Yet never once on Law and Order.
